Solved!

Warranty on recently purchased product

HP Recommended
Omen X Laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just purchased this laptop for Christmas for my daughter and when I started registering it, it says the warranty already expired and has it listed as having started in 2019.  And,  there doesn't seem to be any way to actually talk to a person about this.  This may be the last HP product I ever purchase.

The product was perhaps originally last year's model.

It might have the original warranty attached, added by the manufacturer - or perhaps the information entered by the retailer who purchased the product for sale to the public.

Normally, one registers a product to update the information for the new owner.

What else?
