When was the HP Pavilion 15-eh0502sa launched on the market?

I'm interested to know when the HP Pavilion 15-eh0502sa was launched on the market? Is it a recent model? 

I would like to recommend it to a friend as an ideal 'light use' laptop.

It's certainly in the right price price range here in the UK.

I cannot find any user reviews of this machine. Comments welcome.

Note: The "datasheet" says this model comes with "Windows S Mode".

Remember to remind your friend that "Windows S Mode" is a limited version of Windows that only supports installing applications from the Microsoft Store.  This is fine for some people - others find it odd and not particularly useful.

Reminder,

"Leaving" S-Mode is a One-Way-Ticket:  Once you leave “S” mode, you cannot go back.

You must have a license to run "regular" (full) Windows.

If the computer you purchase does not come with regular Windows, you will have to purchase it.

User reviews might be available (in your region) for the "Series" as opposed to the exact model.

Many thanks for your very informative reply and drawing my attention to the issues concerning Win 10 in S mode.  S mode isn't mentioned in the UK suppliers online product specs.

I think my friend could live with 'S mode' on this fairly cost effective laptop.

Perhaps the UK product version provides the full Windows 10 installation.

That would be better all around, I think.

The spec details on the supplier's website just says "Windows 10 (64 bit)", no mention of S mode anywhere. I'll check with them directly. Thanks for pointing this out.

Excellent.

You do want "full Windows" - having Windows is a tiny fraction of the cost of the computer.

Windows Pro is better than plain Windows Home.

Windows Pro is not necessary; it does add a few more options.

Many people don't need "Pro" - it is a "bonus" version.  Smiling.
