Why my Hp Envy 15 Notebook PC not charging, Shows battery icon as "plugged in, not charging'

Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

My Hp envy 15 notebook PC not charging when plugged in. It immediately shut down when AC adapter is plugged out.The battery icon shows that "plugged in. not charging" when AC charger plugged in. Please tell me all the reasons why this happens so?

I read your post about the battery issue, and wanted to assist you!  I understand that the notebook does not seem to be charging.

 

The issue seems to be related to the battery.  It is possible that the battery may be defective.  If you remove the battery, will the notebook run on the AC Adapter alone?  Try reviewing the following document, and let me know the results:
