HP Recommended

I have a 1½ year old HP 470 17 inch G9 Notebook PC (6S788EA).

Why did I just get a message to my Support Assistant: "Actions are needed. Your device is not protected". And also told that my virus protection is not on and was told to buy McAfee, which you could get from the link below?

What is this kind of non-belonging ADVERTISEMENT doing here and why did the message warn about the lack of protection, which in reality was perfectly fine?

I have used paid F-Secure protection for years, which works flawlessly.
