battery charging fluctuations

HP15 r 074 tu
Linux

Hello,

I am using HP 15 R 074TU laptop.

Laptop is not getting charged continuously, charging is getting disconnected for every 1 minute and getting connected again for another minute.

If I remove the battery I am able to use it with out any trouble.

Is this a problem with battery? Should I change the battery?

battery charging fluctuations

@Praphulla1

Thank you for being a part of HP Forums.

It'll be an honor to guide you through the steps needed to fix your concern or address your query 😉

As I understand the battery charging fluctuations,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

  • Does it work fine with an alternate battery?
  • Did you check with an alternate wall outlet or another adapter?

While you respond to that, here's what you need to do, if you don't have alternate parts to check the functionality:

Do get back to us as we have a few more tricks up our sleeves,

Besides, we will follow up to ensure your concern is resolved,

@ehtishamali6699,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details and I would appreciate if you could, perhaps elaborate on your concern.

  • What is the exact model for your computer?
  • What is the operating system you are using?
  • What is the exact issue you are facing?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps?

Look forward to hearing from you and you have a great day!

Take care.

Cheers!
