can't open or save documents that are sent to me.

im in china using wechat on my HP Envy (i assume its called envy cos its like the only writing on it besides bang and olufsen which i assume isnt really a laptop kinda name)

anyway i was sent word documents and ppts but when i try to open them they just simply dont do anything, there is no signal that clicking on them even worked besides the box having a border, if i right click and save as then it lets me search the folders and save but when i go to the folder then the save file doesnt exist, even if i save to desktop it just simply isnt there.

True - Bang and Olufsen is your Audio and is not your computer model.

Why do the documents not Save or Open?

No idea, really --- I can offer a guess... might be a good guess or might be a poor guess.

Check

If you are using a subscription version of Office / Microsoft software (Microsoft 365)

And

The subscription might be dependent on finding the software online to open your document

OR

The subscription might be dependent on verifying your subscription before it will work,

Then

It is possible the Office software is not able to open / verify your Office / Microsoft subscription at your current location.

Log into Microsoft - check your 365 subscription status.

What else?

If you have not done so,

If you are attempting to save the documents you are sent to your local computer,

Be sure you select a local folder as opposed to saving the document into your OneDrive or other Cloud Storage account.

What else?

If another Office software will work in your current location, try using that.

For example, if China allows / supports Libre Office software, see if you can download and install that Office alternative.

Normally Libre Office supports Word documents and might also support your Power Point documents, too.
