Hi @RCorner,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I would like to inform that HP Pavilion g6 keyboard might not have a dedicated "Break" key as is found on some other keyboards. Instead, you can typically use the "Ctrl" + "Pause" key to achieve the "Ctrl-Break" functionality.

Options for Ctrl+Break on Pavilion G6

  • Ctrl + Fn + B → On some HP laptops, this acts as the Break function.
  • Ctrl + Fn + Pause → If your keyboard has a Pause/Break function combined on one key, hold Fn to access Break.
  • Ctrl + Fn + P → On certain Pavilion models, the P key doubles as Break when used with Fn.
  • If none of these work, you can use Ctrl + Fn + Pause/Break via an external USB keyboard that has a dedicated Break key.

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!
