HP Envy i7
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was having trouble with the preinstalled dvd player that came with my new Envy. When I took it into the geek squad to be looked at, they installed the VLC player software. I REALLY dislike it and would like to go back to the original now that I have discovered that all I needed was a new mouse to keep things running smoothly. How can I switch back. It was called sTrueplayer (or something like that). I am new to Windows 10 and do not know where to look to see if the original is still here somewhere.

Hi:

As far as I know, most HP PC's made in the last several years came with some version of the Cyberlink software...either Power Media Player or PowerDVD.

What is the full model number or product number of your notebook?

Use this guide to find that info...

Once you provide that info, I will see if HP has one of those DVD playing software programs on your notebook's support page.
