have just bought a hp envy 15, when I connect a external drive whatever disk I put in it wont play

Hi, I have just bought today a hp x360 envy 15, all been ok till I connected a external cd/dvd drive, it wont read or play any disk, it thinks all disks are for burning, no way I can change that setting, it wont accept autoplay. driving me mad, my external drive is fine have tested it on another pcn

It must have Windows Media Player. Please use the following way to fix

or please try (Windows 10 works very similar to Windows 😎

Thank you but no joy yet, I have found that it thinks every disc I put in.. music or data or film it thinks its a burning disk, asks me if I want to use it as a usb disk, cannot get any further
