Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just bought a new Hp Windows 10 a couple weeks ago. When I first turned on my laptop, Microsoft Office prompted me to notify me that I received a 1-Year free subscription to Microsoft Office with the purchase of the laptop. I should have immediately hit "Activate Now" but I just closed the window, deciding to come back later. Today, I wanted to activate it with my free year. When I tried to open Word, Microsoft prompted me to log into my (only) Microsoft account. I did so, but the only option I have to activate my software is to pay £76 a year, with the first month free if I enrol in automatic yearly deductions. I cannot find how to get my original offer of a free year, even though it's only been two weeks since I last saw it.

@Henry-A

Sorry, but you messed up big time when you did not activate at first.  This is an issue between you and Microsoft, and we can do nothing for you NOW.

This thread has some suggestions you can try for troubleshooting: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Unlicensed-Product-and-activation-errors-in-Office-0d23d3c0...

IF none of them work, you will have to contact Microsoft support directly.
