Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

First off all Hello.

I had trouble finding any information connecting a qhd 2560x1440 screen to this laptop series (2018).

So i thought i would share my experience.

I knew this laptop had external monitor support over usb c.

But when i connected it to a Dell 2560x1440 monitor it would not go over 1920x1080 (used a Hama usb-c 2 hdmi uhd cable with a HighSpeed hdmi).

I do a lot of programming and make use of visual studio, that resolution is to low for me .

The problem was solved by opening Intel video settings (homescreen -> right button -> intel options), goto video options 》 select external monitor 》 add new aspect ratio 》 2560 x 1440 x 30 press add.

If get an error, you did'nt select youre external monitor.

Exit the program and restart te program, or it will not show in your available resolutions.

Now you can select your new resolution.

All works fine for me now!

Hope i can help someone with this info 🙂
