spectre 15 gem cut

hp support assistant wouldnt install the updates suggested, so i followed one of the replies posted here about uninstalling then installing the app. however, the app wont install and keeps giving me this

how should i proceed? 

also when i first bought the laptop i used to feel the air blowing from the laptop, but now i dont and my laptop heats up. all this followed the bios update. 'my laptop is still brand new

I suggest creating a new user account and then install the application using the below steps:

  • If you are having problems updating HP Support Assistant or downloading and installing updates through HP Support Assistant, download and install the latest version of HP Support Assistant from the HP Support Assistant website.

If problems persist, make sure your Internet access is working correctly (that is, you can browse the Internet and view Web pages), and the installed security software (firewall) is not blocking the updates to HP Support Assistant.

hello, i was able to download the hp support assistant by creating a new user and downloading it there. however, the updates would not be installed because their version doesnt match the os version of the laptop. what can i do to be able to update ?

@sarahhalaa Did you go through the links and the steps within the links from my earlier post, if yes and the issue persists, perhaps you can go to the HP website and check if these updates are available for your device, if not, the updates are not meant for your device and its safe to be ignored.
