Welcome to the HP Support Community  @samtech387

What problem are you having with the BIOS???

The BIOS updates are  (.exe)  not  (.bin)

Hi

Do you have any details on what the original was?

It is possible that you could make a USB stick with the appropriate files on.

Directory of S:\SP84381

when i turn it on,  a error message will appear saying,
PRODUCT INFORMATION NOT VALID (if im not mistaken)
5 components has an error like that,,

actually, this netbook got dead before with only 3 blinks on power indicator when i tried to turn it on,,
i suspected that it was on the bios that's i flashed it with a bin file i found on google. unfortunately, it didnt solve the problem, until i found it that it was because of the sio chip, so i replaced it and it turn back on but with an error message.

i made a back-up before i flashed a new bin to the bios but the problem is i have deleted it accidentally,
the netbook turns on anyway, but the battery, mouse and some component do not work,,
drivers cant be installed,,

please,, if you have an original bios for this, kindly share it to me,,

i've tried to update the bios from the exe i downloaded but the error message stil exists,
i even try to extract an exe (bios-update) to get its bin and flash it using a bios flasher but still dont work

@samtech387

When you asked for a .bin file I thought it was needed to clear a password.

The Information not valid:

Was it something like the SKU#, Product# SSID etc.

yes it is all about sku or serials of the chipsets,,
i left it on my shop so i cant check it right now,,
maybe tommorow i can give you the fulkl details of the error messages,
but i think it is all because of the wrong bios i flashed to it

Hi

I suspect that the "tattoo" is lost / corrupted.

However your mention of the blinks...

LED blinks 3 times

Memory

RAM Module failure.

1 Reseat the memory. NB:- See the Services Media Library for steps for your PC.

2 Check each individual memory module and swap slots.

3 Replace the memory modules causing three blinks or if the blinks follow the slots.

4 Replace the Main-Board.

3

MEMORY READ OR WRITE FAILURE

Caps/num lock lights = 3 blinks

Memory module error

So perhaps you have more than 1 problem.

Whichever BIOS you have 3 blinks appears to equate a Memory Problem.

REO51ST is more qualified to help with the BIOS problem than myself.

This HP TPN-Q164 netbook has a built in ram on its board. However, the 3 blinks and cant turn on problem were already resolved by replacing a new sio chip.

The only problem i am facing this netbook right now is its battery and mouse dont work.. Its driver cannot be installed. And the error message that says product information not valid everytime i turn it on.

This is probably due to the wrong bios bin file i flashed it before.
