HP Notebook - 15-bs144wm

laptop puts a 5 after every t I type and 6 after every y I type.

I see that you are facing keyboard issues with your HP Notebook.

 

Please follow the steps listed below to test the keyboard.
1. In Windows, search for an open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows, and then select Run as administrator.
NOTE: If the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows app is not available on your computer, download the latest version from this link


2. The app opens to the main menu. Click Component Tests.
3. The Component Tests menu displays. Your Component Tests menu might be different, depending on the components installed on your computer.
4. To run the test, click Input Devices, click Keyboard, and then click Run once. The Keyboard Test time is 3 minutes.

I ran the diagnostic testing. Keyboard failed.
It suggested trying another keyboard. Keyboard is connected to screen.
Not sure what to do now other than take in for repair?

I  understand you are facing a hardware issue with your HP Notebook - 15-Bs144wm. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

The PC needs to be sent to HP Service Centre to get it repaired,  I'm sending out a private message to assist you with the next course of action. 

 

Please check your Private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile Next, to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it or simply click on this link.
