my f2 and f3 brightness keys don't work and also the brightness slider in the control centre doesn't come up

hi, there. 

perhaps a windows update is pending that would fix it. I had the same issue and i simply updated my pc. to all the current drivers via windows update. 

or try downloading the latest BIOS compatible with your device.

Simply go to the support resources section on this site (www.hp.com) > Software and Drivers 

 

P.S. While inputing your device’s info. I would choose the version of Windows that your device originally came with.
