Hi @eshwar5,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The error 0xA00F4244 typically means that your HP PC's built-in camera is not detected by Windows. This can happen due to a disabled camera, missing drivers, or privacy settings. Here's how to fix it:

1. Check Camera Privacy Settings

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Camera
  2. Make sure Camera access is on
  3. Ensure that Let apps access your camera is also on
  4. Scroll down and make sure apps like CameraZoom, or Teams are allowed

2. Enable Camera in Device Manager

  1. Press Windows + X → select Device Manager
  2. Expand Imaging DevicesCameras, or Sound, video and game controllers
  3. If you see your camera:
    • Right-click → Enable device (if disabled)
    • Or choose Update driver
  4. If the camera is not listed, click Action > Scan for hardware changes

3. Show Hidden Devices

  • In Device Manager, click View > Show hidden devices
  • Look again for the camera under Cameras or Imaging Devices

4. Reinstall the Camera Driver

If the camera still doesn’t appear:

  1. Visit HP’s official driver page: Official HP® Support
  2. Download and install the Camera Driver or HP Universal Camera Driver
  3. Restart your PC

Let me know your exact HP PC model (e.g., HP Laptop 17-cp2124od), and I can give you a direct link to the correct driver.

5. BIOS Check

Sometimes the camera is disabled in BIOS:

  1. Restart your PC and press Esc, then F10 to enter BIOS
  2. Look for Built-in Device Options or Integrated Camera
  3. Make sure it’s enabled
  4. Save and exit

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
