I can not afford to buy in to get m y protection continued here so I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion as to how to ask for a free extention for a couple months until I get a little money saved up -

I hate to uninstall and get wome free program that mey not do as well and then have to change all the time - hell I just had to go through a lot of loops already getting my windows updates and my firefox browser straightened out - this is starting to be a lot of work to just be able to use my new computer!

bought around Dec 1, 2017

Well I got Avast for now - have used it in the past and did not seem to cause any problems so I downloaded and fired that right up - so you think I should still turn on windows defender?  my McAfee ran last night, I uninstalled that and put the Avast on defend mode

I also have malware bytes and Super antispyware scanning along as well

by the way what else on here can I get rid of? there is a lot of preinstalled software that I will not use

thanks for the help

Hi

Nope.

But I do suggest supplementing MS Windows Defender with a free A/V.

McAfee is not trouble free, so expect some false positives along the way.

Hi

I have no idea.

Despite my removing Paint 3d and it's entries in the registry, it returns.

Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.MSPaint | Remove-AppxPackage

and using other methods, like Ccleaner, I repeatedly have egg on my face.

that is hillarious, dang bulkware

back in the day we made programs compact, efficient and elegant - cheap memory and user friendliness are the downfall of computing IMHO
