Envy DV6 Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an envy notebook with windows 10. I can't get the system to play DVD videos.  I can play CDs with Windows Media Player.

If I try and play a DVD,  a popup appears and wants me to buy a player. Did HP ship a DVD player with this system? Was it lost when I went from windows 7 to windows 10?  My DVD played model is DVDWBD. Actually this is the first time I have ever tried to play a DVD on this system.

I prefer to use a product known as Video LAN Media Player (VLC) which you can get from here:  Official download of VLC media player, the best Open Source player - VideoLAN
