Hi,
so ive been wondering about three things for quite a while now:
first question: firstly i have an 8th gen processor, and yet i also have an intel(r) 6th generation core processor family platform i/o sata ahci controller... is this how its supposed be? isnt there an 8th gen controller? my computer only gets few software updates anyway(despite being relatively new), so ive been curious.
Reason for this question is that i once saw the difference between using a standard controller and the 6th gen,- i saw a huge difference and was hoping there would be a better suited software for my driver.
The second question is about DCH drivers. They seem to be a new standard of sorts. Ive heard about manually installing them, however, it seems to risk making the system unstable. Will HP ever release a DCH driver? Is there even a performance difference?
The third question is about the use of graphic drivers. my computer came with both intel and nvidia graphics card. Is there a way to control the use of these graphics drivers- such as deciding when to use which driver to use when, or better yet, is there a way to combine them so they can work together?
im looking forward to any kind of help for these questions- have a great day!

@Supersimz Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that you would like to issues drivers and software.
1. HP only release drivers as and when required.
You can always run HPSA to check for latest drivers.
Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.
2. we do not know when hp or Microsoft will release the DCH driver.
3. You can switch the graphics.

hi,
thanks for the answer.
thr particular document is for AMD grapics while i have an Nvidia. However, i managed to make it work somehow.
I used the Nvidia controlpanel(which i usually just access from rightclicking on desktopscreen), i then select the particular app that i want to use Nvidia with. i doesnt seem like that the two grapchics can combine and work simultaneosly on a single program, but i suppose its better than not knowing how to change the grapchics card.
Have a great day!
