whenever i click on anything it opens in a new window?????why is that.

Either you have virus/worm on your system or you accidently change folder options

 

For 2nd case GoTo Contorl Panel -> Folder Options (or Tools Menu -> Folder Options) and in General tab's Folders category select    "open each folder in the same window"

 

For the 1st case you should clean your system by installing some antivirus on your system or get it cleaned by attaching it to any other system which is running anitivirus software.
