Hi @5CD334NGTZ

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how frustrating it can be when Windows Update fails to install correctly. Let's try to resolve the issue with some effective steps:

Check Storage Space:

  • Ensure you have sufficient disk space on your laptop. Windows updates require free space, often several gigabytes.

Restart Your Computer:

  • A restart can sometimes resolve update problems.

Run Windows Update Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot. Under Options, select Windows Update and run the troubleshooter to detect and fix issues.

Disable Antivirus Software Temporarily:

  • Third-party antivirus software can sometimes interfere with updates. Try disabling it temporarily while you run the update. Remember to enable it afterward.

Check Internet Connection:

  • Make sure you have a stable and reliable internet connection, as disconnected connectivity can cause update failures.

Manual Update Installation:

  • Visit the Microsoft Windows Update Catalog, search for the failed update code, and manually download and install it.

Update Drivers:

  • Outdated drivers can cause Windows Update issues. Update drivers manually by visiting the HP support site to download the latest drivers for your model.

Reset Windows Update Components:

  • Follow this official Microsoft guide for manually resetting Windows Update components:
    • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
    • Run several commands to stop services (net stop wuauserv, net stop cryptSvc, net stop bits, and net stop msiserver).
    • Rename software distribution folders (ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old).
    • Restart services (net start wuauserv, net start cryptSvc, net start bits, and net start msiserver).

Perform a System Restore:

  • If the issue persists, consider performing a system restore to revert to a previous state before the update issue appeared.

Hopefully, these steps will help you get your Windows 11 updates back on track. If the problem persists, it might be beneficial to contact Microsoft support for further assistance.

Keep positive, and I wish you success in resolving this issue!
