Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm getting the dreaded black screen of death - the laptop shows to have power via the white LED at the AC adapter connection, as well as the white LED power light on the side of the laptop.  However, the screen does not display anything.  The fan powers on and stays on but nothing ever displays on the screen. I have tried the following steps to no avail:

*removed the battery and AC adapter, pressed the power button for 30-60 seconds to perform a reset

* reseated the memory

* tried different memory

* booted without memory which gives the blinking LED on the caps lock

* removed the hard drive

* tried a different hard drive

* tried to update the BIOS via Win+B+power button

* tried to clear the BIOS via Win+V+power button

Any suggestions would be appreciated please.  Thank you.
