Hi @KWA3,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like the 2-finger scroll option might have been disabled or might be missing due to driver issues. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue.
Update or Reinstall Touchpad Drivers:
- Go to Device Manager (right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager).
- Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
- Right-click on your touchpad device (it may be listed as "Synaptics" or "ELAN") and choose Update driver. Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If updating doesn't help, you might want to uninstall the device (right-click and select Uninstall device). Restart your computer, and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
Check Touchpad Settings in Windows:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad. Look for any additional options or settings related to scrolling.
- You might need to click on Additional settings to access advanced touchpad options. If you don't see the touchpad settings, the driver might not be properly installed.
Check HP Support Website:
- Visit the HP Support website and enter your HP Envy 360 -15 model number to download and install the latest touchpad driver for your laptop.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and make sure your system is up to date. Sometimes updates include fixes for touchpad issues.
Check HP Support Assistant:
- Open HP Support Assistant (if installed) and run diagnostics or check for driver updates.
Perform a System Restore:
- If the issue started recently, you could try performing a system restore to a point when the touchpad was working correctly. Go to Control Panel > Recovery > Open System Restore.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, there might be a hardware problem with the touchpad.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
