Spectre x360 15

Hey community, I have a rather new Spectre x360 15. After 2 month of using without any problems, the notebook is unable to find the 2nd and 3rd monitor, USB-C connected via an docking station. Both monitors and cables are fine; they run without problems via HDMI. All drivers and BIOS are up to date.  All other functions of the docking station runs perfectly (USB, LAN etc.) and also my other notebook (HP elite book) have connection to the monitors. The problem has to be identified at the Spectre. From my perspective, I´ve done everything to bring the notebook back to work, so I´m a little frustrated. Has someybody an idea, what I can do next? Thanks in advance!

I reviewed your post and I understand that the docking station is not detecting the monitors.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

What is the product number of your computer?

I recommend you check whether there is any firmware update available for the docking station and install it.

You can download the firmware update from the below link.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

@Nordfriese That doesn't look like a product number, I believe what you've posted is the product ID and I'm afraid that cannot be used, that said, for details on what we do need: click here and keep me posted.

Remember: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Good luck!

Thank you for posting back.

Firstly, perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant: (do not skip any troubleshooting steps if you feel steps are repeating)

To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.

Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.

  1. To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon https://support.hp.com/doc-images/932/c05040382.jpg.
  2. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
  3. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
  4. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
  5. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
  6. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Sorry, but everything you recommend, I´ve already did. Looking for updates by Windows and HP via Support Assistant is the first and logic step. All updates are up to date, how I wrote in my post before.

I´m absolutely disappointed with the situation. Can you recommend me a local HP service center, wich I can get in contact.

Best

As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.

I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available service options in order to diagnose the computer physically. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
