From the following information, you do not have connection for a 4K external monitor

       https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03963187

Because the HDMI ports: Supports direct connection to high-definition displays with up to 1920 x 1200@60Hz resolution. But it has

  • USB 3.0 – Two
  • USB 2.0 (power port) – One
  • HDMI 1.4a – One
  • Stereo microphone input – One
  • Headphone/line out – One
  • RJ-45 (Ethernet) – One
  • Power connector – One
  • VGA – One

Therefore you can use USB3.0 adapter which supports a 4K monitor. Please enter your requirement and it will find for you the one you need on market today.
