Envy 17.3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just purchased a 17.3 HP ENVY - 17m-ae011dx touchscreen laptop.

The screen accepts mouse input via a drawing application however a vertical column of space, mid-screen, fails to receive finger input.

I ran the digitizer set up several times and downloaded updates for the touchscreen along with others updates recommended by the HP web site and restarted the PC a number of times. This1/2" wide vertical column of area on the screen still does not accept touch input.

Is this a software issue?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Jeff

@Trailguy1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I recommend you run a touchscreen test follow the steps in the below article.

If the test screen test pass, then update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
