HP Envy 15-ep0011na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

Quick question about the HP Envy 15-ep0011na.  The laptop comes with Windows Ink pre-installed, support for an active pen in settings and a 10 point digitizer so I'm assuming it is active pen compatible.  I experimented with an HP Pen, however, and the pen doesn't work, neither will the HP Pen Control applet.

Which active pen is compatible with this laptop?

Best regards,

Matt

@jamestyler I must let you know that the Windows Ink is a part of Windows OS and is install on almost every device regardless of its support for touchscreen or a stylus, that said, you can check the stylus compatibility through the virtual agent: Click here

- they keyword is "stylus compatibility". and then follow the process.

if it does not mention anything about it, that may mean that the device only supports passive stylus and here's all you need to know about it:

  • A passive stylus (also known as capacitive stylus) functions the same as your finger on the screen.
  • Passive styluses do not require batteries, and they work on any touch screen device.

you may order the parts on the HP Parts Store, If you've already looked for it and couldn't find it on the HP Parts Store, you may want to get it locally at the online store such as Amazon or eBay, etc...as the part numbers are universal.
