I am attempting to get an Omen 016 notebook to drive two monitors (ACER and Samsung 32"), using a NOVOO hub which has both HDMI and Displayport outputs, but the monitor connected to the Displayport output indicates that there is no signal. My first thought is that it is the hub that is at fault, but I wanted to find out whether anyone else had issues with this setup, or had advice on existing successful setups?

@Max1mum262, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
We see that you're facing some challenges with connecting dual external monitors to your OMEN 16-b0000 using a NOVOO hub. Here’s a breakdown of what you need to know and some solutions to help you set it up effectively.
Key Points to Consider:
1. NOVOO Hub Type:
Most NOVOO hubs share bandwidth across HDMI and DisplayPort. Often, they are not true dual-output devices — meaning they may mirror the same signal on both ports or allow only one active output at a time.
→ Some cheaper hubs have one "real" HDMI and a DisplayPort that's just a passive adapter, which requires special Multi-Stream Transport (MST) support.
2. OMEN USB-C Port Support:
The OMEN 16-b0000's USB-C port supports:
- DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode
- Power Delivery
- However, it does not usually support MST over USB-C natively unless a dock specifically handles it with its own chip.
So, unless the NOVOO hub has a DisplayPort MST hub chip inside (which is rare!), the DisplayPort output might not function at the same time as the HDMI output.
3. What's Most Likely Happening:
- The HDMI port of your hub works fine (single stream).
- The DisplayPort output expects MST support that your laptop/USB-C port isn't providing (Windows detects only one external display at a time).
- Therefore, your second monitor shows "no signal."
Solutions That Can Work:
- Option 1: Use Native Ports Directly if Possible.
Your OMEN should have:- One native HDMI 2.1 port
- One USB-C (DisplayPort) port
You can connect:- Monitor 1 → HDMI port
- Monitor 2 → USB-C to DisplayPort cable (not via hub — a direct, active cable)
- Option 2: Use a Better USB-C Dock that truly supports MST (multi-stream transport), like the HP Thunderbolt Dock G2, or a proper DisplayLink-based dock (which emulates multiple screens).
- Option 3: Try a Simple "USB-C to Dual HDMI MST Hub" — but make sure it's MST-capable. Many cheaper ones aren’t.
Best Way to Set Up Immediately:
- HDMI port → 1st monitor (use HDMI cable)
- USB-C port → 2nd monitor (with a USB-C to DisplayPort or USB-C to HDMI active adapter)
Skip the NOVOO hub for now unless you're only using it for accessories.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi Max3Aj,
I am currently awaiting the arrival of a USB-C to HDMI cable to test the simplest of your proffered solutions, before I try the HP Thunderbolt hub solution. I will pass on the results of my experimentation.
Again, thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Regards,
Max.
