Hi all

 

I've just had my laptop returned after a major warranty repair (mainboard replaced, screen replaced, fans replaced, OS reinstalled) but there are problems with tablet mode. It doesn't come on automatically when the laptop is screen is rotated. When I activate tablet mode manually the hardware keyboard and trackpad are still active, and the software keyboard doesn't appear when a text field has focus. Also, the rotation lock toggle is greyed out.

Strangely, when I change the Enable REG_DWORD registry value it resets back to 0 on reboot. Odd.

I've sent this laptop back twice already! Any ideas?

HP Recommended

Fixed! HP support sent me a BIOS update which solved it.
