Hi @5CD9492P44

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

If your HP laptop's display brightness isn't working, here are some steps to troubleshoot:

1. Check Brightness Settings

  • Press Fn + F2/F3 (or the brightness keys specific to your HP model).
  • Go to SettingsSystemDisplay and adjust the brightness slider.

2. Update Graphics Drivers

  • Open Device Manager (Windows + X → **Device Manager`).
  • Expand Display Adapters.
  • Right-click your graphics driver (Intel, AMD, or NVIDIA) and select Update driverSearch automatically for drivers.

3. Enable Generic PnP Monitor

  • Open Device Manager.
  • Expand Monitors.
  • Right-click Generic PnP Monitor and select Enable.

4. Check HP Hotkey Support Driver

  • Some HP laptops require the HP Hotkey Support Driver for brightness controls.
  • Download it from HP’s support page.

If none of these steps work, let me know what happens at each step, and we’ll dig deeper!
