I had suddenly found a tiny black spot in the screen, I was wondering if it was a software problem, therefore I took a screenshot to check if the spot is a hardware or a software problem, and yes it was a hardware problem. I was worried. The next day, I was shocked to see that the spot grew larger. At that moment I had my factory warranty. I had to go out of town without my Chromebook for a month. When I came back that is right now the spot's huge, covering 1/6th of the screen. It's like a narrow horizontal line. Its a mixture of black and tiny green pixels. My warranty has finished and I just can't get any method to get the display replaced. There is no nearby service center that can fix Chromebooks. Please help, it's urgent.

I wish we could help you on this but we here are unable to assist you in this issue.
We are just a Community Support forum staffed by part-time volunteers not associated with HP.
We have no access to other HP functional areas and can not help you with those.
These areas include:
-- Billing and invoices
-- Repairs, Service Centers and Technician Visits
-- Sales, Exchanges and Refunds
-- Warranty Repairs and Service
Nor are we able to contact customers -- via chat, via email, or via telephone.
Since this is apparently out of warranty, HP will not accept this for repairs. I know you checked out a local computer repair facility -- but we have no index or catalog of such places, so we have no way of providing you a list of other places to check.
I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP
