Hi there,

I just got This new computer in June and back in December one day the screen started flickering and like an hour later the screen was very dim/dark (but I could still see the display). I took it one of the IT guys at my job and they said they couldn’t find anything wrong and that I should just replace the screen.... so I did. But the screen is still dim so I took it to a repair center and they said it’s probably a black light/ backlight issue, but they couldn’t fix it?

ive downloaded several recommended hard drives and all that and the screen is still dark.  I’ve followed all kinds of steps  and I can never get a hold of the HP in order to repair it and see what’s going on.  I’m in school and really need my computer and I don’t want to have to buy a new one.
