HP ENVY x360 13.3 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 13-bf0000 (552D4AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Ten days ago, out of nowhere, I noticed that the screen of my laptop was starting to pop off at the bottom-right corner. I was shocked, as I always take excellent care of my laptop. It's still relatively new—I bought it 14 months ago and paid a lot for it—so I’ve always been extremely careful with it. I went online and discovered that many other people have experienced the same issue. Since it's still under warranty, I tried contacting HP support multiple times. Each time, I spoke with different representatives who asked me to send pictures and informed me that I would be contacted by the sales department for a repair quotation. However, I was told that physical damage isn’t covered by the warranty, which is absurd because this isn’t just physical damage; it's a known defect affecting hundreds of users with the same model. Despite their promises, I was never contacted.

Finally, after over 10 days, I called again. This time, they didn’t ask for pictures and told me the repair would cost £314. This seems outrageous to me, as it’s almost half of what I paid for the laptop, and I didn’t cause the issue.

I’m looking for advice on how to solve this problem at a lower cost.

Even though I loved this PC, I swear I’ll never buy an HP laptop again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
