HP Spectre X360 convertible 13-apoxxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there,

my brand new HP Spectre x360 13-ap0xxx has a bright white spot in the lower left of the screen that is esspecially clear on white backgrounds such as word processing or when attempting to draw on a white canvas.20190410_180315.jpg

I've read a few people have had this issue with various models and have struggled to get it looked at under warrenty.

I've literally had it less than 3 days, and used it very little so its certainly a defect with the hardware.

I have spent alot of money on this machine and am very dissapointed by this.

Will my warrenty cover it? Or should I send the item back as faulty.

Thanks very much.

@Brodieglen,

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

Does the issue persist on the BIOS page?

Have you tried checking with an external monitor does the issue persist?

If the issue persists on the BIOS page it is a hardware issue with the display.

If the issue does not persist on the BIOS page try updating the graphics, touchpad drivers and BIOS on the PC to the latest version.

Uninstall the graphics driver from device manager and install the latest version of BIOS,touchpad and graphics drivers on the PC using the HP support assistant.
