Currently having an issue with my x360 screen/hinge. It suddenly popped out of place and every time I try to close it, it sounds like it’s going to crack the screen. I noticed the hinge is out of place. I looked online for cost to fix and came across SEVERAL posts about this being a very COMMON issue, even discontinued and were facing a lawsuit. Apparently the cost to fix is HUNDREDS! This is unbelievable. I tried reaching out to customer support and they’re asking me to pay for a subscription to get said number?? Anyone had the same issue? What can be done? TIA

Hi Aiden,

I tried that and it doesn’t give me the option to contact anyone, except for posting on here or prepaying to be able to talk to someone on the phone. Those are my only “out of warranty” options. Is there any other way to get a hold of someone? Paying over $1K for a laptop and this being a common issue is frustrating

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
