Best stop trying to close the computer case.
The next thing to break might be the screen.
Keep your backups of your personal data current - if the worst happens and the computer stops working, even assuming it is possible, data retrieval becomes far more difficult.
If the computer is in Warranty, HP might repair the computer.
If the computer is out of Warranty and you want to do so, you could take it to a local Repair shop and get an estimate on repair cost.
If you skill level is advanced, you could try repairing the computer yourself. From what I have read, this is possible, though it is not a job for a novice.
Case submission is primarily directed at those whose devices are still in Warranty.
For the rest of us, this is not an option.
HP Support does not generally provide free service for out-of-warranty devices.
