I get the odd screen freeze on this laptop. It seems to drink up RAM like gin. On any computer I've ever owned, I knew I could rely on CTRL+ALT+DEL to unstick me.
Never have been able to get this to work on this laptop! I've tried all of them - the CTRL+ ALT from left side of keyboard + DEL above right of keyboard beside of PRT SC; CTRL + ALT on right side of space bar + the same DEL as previously mentioned; and I have used those two CTRL + ALT combos with the DEL on the number pad. None of these combinations work.
Is there a setting I seemed to have never known about that can get this to happen? Or is this just a problem these HP's have?
Any enlightenment would be appreciated as I don't like force quitting. Many thanks in advance.

The trusted 3 finger salute really isn't needed anymore for the past few Windows versions. Better to open up task manager and end the appropriate offending process/task instead of force closing Windows itself. And really, Ctrl+Alt+Del isn't any difference as using the power button or pulling the power on your computer. Windows won't shut down properly either way.
