I can's set up the proper monitor driver in my laptop. In the list of system's devices it is shown as just PhP monitor. I looked in HP support site for a possible solutions but they don't have anything like HP monitor drivers.

Hi:

All notebook PC's have generic PnP monitors.

There are no model specific display panel drivers.

If you are having display issues, then you need to install the applicable graphics driver for your notebook.

Hi, Paul,

Thank you for responding to my post which was rather ignorant (as I see now).

Kind regards,

You're very welcome.

Don't feel that way.

Most standalone monitors used by desktop PC's have separate monitor drivers for the specific model monitor.

It's just that for whatever reason, notebook display panels don't have separate monitor drivers.

So, it was a good question.

Now you know the answer.
