HP Pavilion Laptop 14-ce1xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I cannot get the laptop to 'see' a second additional monitor. (I.e. I am trying to set up the laptop with two additional monitors to the laptop's own screen.) the laptop can see both of them and work fine with both of them when either is plugged into the HDMI port individually so it is neither's cable and neither monitor.

However when either one is plugged in via an HP USB C to multi port hub (which is the one recommended for the laptop) in addition to one already being in the HDMI port on the laptop itself the second monitor cannot be found. The USB ports on the HP USB C to multi port hub both work fine so that piece of equipment seems to be ok

I am wondering if possibly there is something in the registry that is saying only one additional monitor can be used or something like that. However that is just guessing on my part. I have tried just about every option I can think of to get the laptop to 'see' both external monitors and now need help because I can't do it myself.

What is your HP Pavilion Laptop 14-ce1xxx  ? The series has USB Type-C port, USB 3.1 Gen 1 (right side) supports data transfer only therefore you won't get video out from USB-C port.

If you wish to have 2 or more external monitors (and notebook monitor - total 3), please enter your requirement on the following link and it will find for you few USB-A DisplayLink Certified options on market today including some HP products (you can select HP before Search)

For example
