Chromebook x2 disconnects from Stylus

Hi, in the past few months I have connection difficulties between my Chromebook x2 and HP Active Pen that was provided with the device. I am asking the community for help after doing a powerwash (hard reset) and replacing the stylus' battery, both haven't solved the issue. Situations in which this occurs:

  1. Sometimes immediately after power-up
  2. Sometimes while I am in the middle of annotating PDFs - it suddenly stops reacting

It happens across two accounts that I use on this device, therefore I don't think it is related to any of the accounts. In the past few months I have tried to identify a pattern to this behaviour but couldn't find any.

I have gone through your Post and I appreciate all your efforts and expertise in troubleshooting this issue


At this point I suggest you contact HP Support for a replacement Pen since you have already perform the Power wash
