Pavilion 15-BC300NT
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have started to use my gaming notebook nearly 2,5 years ago which is Pavilion 15-BC300NT.

Last week my notebook started to freeze in max 5 minutes. I set up clean windows 10 and updated all drivers. I made system check, ssd and ram test. There seemed no problem on ssd and ram. Freezing problem doesn't solved but I can use notebook avg 2 hours, then freezed again . I restart it then there was a message about SSD problem. Then I enter the bios f10 then save and notebook starts to work again up to the next freezing time.

I use it 4-5 days like this conditions. Yesterday it is freezed again, I restart then there was just Completely Black Screen (but not like shut down appearance like bios black screen without letters etc.) . can't enter bios etc.

Power button light is on and fans are working. Removed ram, ssd, hdd. Black screen situation continues. When I completely remove ram, caps lock led blinks 3 times long 2 times short means there is no ram on notebook.

I used external monitor and no signal message seen.

I called HP Tech Service and they told me there may be a mainboard problem. The warranty for my notebook includes 2 years and it is expired. After warranty expired it passes just 6 monthes and there is mainboard problem 😞 they want 320 euro for new main board. I bought the notebook  375 euro 2,5 years ago.

Could you help and tell me what is the exact problem on my notebook? And how can I fix my notebook cheaper?

@Axoy Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are getting a blank display.

The issue with the motherboard.

I would suggets you conatct our phone support and check for the support option. They will help you.

Or you can conatct the local service center for repair.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.

Thanks,

I called them. HP Turkey has an agreement with BDH Company for technical support. BDH offer me 320 euro for new mainboard and I didn't accept (I bought notebook 375 euro). I am searching to buy a new notebook except HP now.
