Posting for a friend, but her computer screen recently started displaying green, and later pink, colors. Initially, the screen showed the colors occasionally and then the quality of the display gradually worsened (as seen in the pictures) particularly if the monitor went to sleep. She tried unplugging and replugging the cables of the computer, none of which were loose. She also conducted system restore to the computer to an earlier date from last week. However, despite her efforts, nothing seems to have resolved the situation. Since this is an all-in-one computer, testing the computer on another monitor is not an option. I wanted to see if anyone has advice on what she should try next as well as guesses on what might be going wrong with the computer? Thank you in advanced!

@teal_one

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

  • When was the last time it worked without these issues?
  • Have you updated Graphics and Chipset drivers?

let’s try these steps to resolve the problem:

I recommend you attempt to access the BIOS screen by tapping on F10 while the computer is restarting,

If the issue persists in the BIOS screen which is outside windows, it would confirm a hardware failure.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
