As I understand you are having trouble connecting an external monitor to the HP Spectre
don't worry we'll get it to work with only a few steps and by we, I mean you and me ;)
Let's start with the below steps:
Update the BIOS: A BIOS update may be available and most known issues have been resolved with the latest F.13 update
Check Monitors: All monitors don't have to be the same brand, type, or size, but all do need to support the same resolution.
