HP Notebook - 15-bs106ng
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I recently bought the HP  15-bs106ng with a Intel I5-8250U with Intel UHD 620 iGPU.

I also have a 2160p@60 Hz LG27UD58P-B and tried connecting the laptop to it.

The problem is, that it does not display anything at 2160p @ 30Hz, I think the laptop has only HDMI 1.4 and does not have enough bandwith for 60Hz.

For now the monitor works at max 2560x1440 @60Hz, and if the refresh rate is lower than 60Hz, for example 30Hz, like at 4K, it also does not display anything. I tried on my PC if there is a problem with refresh rates, but 1080p, 1440p and 2160p all work at both 30Hz and 60Hz.

The CPU should be able to display 2160p@30Hz over HDMI, does anybody know what the problem could be?

Thanks in advance

@Andreasus

Your machine has HDMI version 1.4b supporting 1920 ×1080 @ 60Hz only.

Thanks,

I got 2160p to work, but it was flickering and there were some artifacts, so 1440p is fine too.
