There's something you need to know about using the thunderbolt USB Type-C port:
Both the ends should support Thunderbolt, which means the computer/laptop and the monitor should contain the Thunderbolt feature, otherwise, it wouldn't work and you may want to use an adapter that converts USB Type-C to HDMI or DVI, etc.
