i have hp EliteBook 850 g1 it doesn't have HDMI port it is having only display port and i am trying to connect via DP port to my Samsung tv DP-HDMI convertible cable but unfortunately i am unable to get the display at my tv screen. Can any

DP and HDMI all use digital signals, you don't need a converter, you can use direct cable. Please

 

  (a) Check your cable,

  (b) Check your TV, some TV's have 3 or 4 HDMI ports and you need to assign a port for computer (source as PC).

Sir i am not using any converter at all it is a cable one side DisplayPort to HDMI only.  In my tv it will detect automaticl
