HP Recommended

Pavilion g7 broken hinge. Support seemed concerned at the beginning. Questions asked and answered etc. Final result from them was warranty expired years ago which I knew years ago. I was hoping for a bit more seeing this was a longstanding manufacturing defect. I was told to find a local computer repair shop. This from a multi national company who won't fix a hinge?
