My laptop has just recently started doing this thing where the left half of the screen glitches and then shifts over about 10 pixels where it creates a "fold" where my cursor and text can go behind and it basically just moves the left part of the screen over top of the other part. Then, on the left side of the screen there is just a 10 pixel column that I can't move my cursor over or anything as if it were the edge of the screen. Any help is much appreciated!

First and foremost, I want to welcome you to the HP Support Forums! Here at the forums, you have many community members that will help you toward a solution with the display looking like it is folding on you and hiding text and your cursor.
If you connect your Notebook to an external Monitor, do you see the same effect on the external display also?
Have you tried performing a hard reset?
Are you using the AC power adapter that came with the computer?
When you turn on the Notebook, does the power LED stay lit? Or does it shut off?
Did you receive any error messages?
Do you have any beep codes or blinking LED lights?
Have you done a BIOS reset?
Please remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices, as these could cause some issues.
Please make sure that the AC adapter cable is not plugged into a power strip, surge protector, or secondary power source. It should be directly into a wall outlet.
