HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-ab243cl (Touch)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to use docking station with laptop. I have C-Type USB to USB - A type converter. When I try to connect with monitors using docking station it is showing message like "Display connection might be limited". however Mouse is working connected with Docking station.

Nearly all HP Pavilion notebooks don't have a docking port therefore you can't get a docking station for your machine or for HP Pavilions. The specs of your machine are

    https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04960367

which shows it has

  • 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate);
  • 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A (Data Transfer Only);
  • 1 AC smart pin;
  • 1 HDMI 1.4b;
  • 1 headphone/microphone combo;
  • 1 RJ-45

As you can see, its USB-C port does NOT support video out. At this stage, a docking station using USB-A ports still is a good choice. If you wish to have 2 or more external monitors, please enter your requirement on the following link and it will find for you a few options on the market today including some HP products:

or try following HP docks
