Envy 15

Dear community,

I've just bought a new hp envy 15 laptop, and I found out there are some display issues. Infacts the screen is full of little black dots that you can see especially on a white background.

Can anyone help me?

Thank you

@Bianca211 -- just bought a new Envy

The computer comes with a one-year warranty from HP.  So, contact HP Support.

Or, talk to the store that sold it to you, to see if they have a "two-week-no-questions-asked" exchange policy.

A lemon is just a lemon, when it is a piece of fruit. After you bite into it, there is no "warranty".

But, if your computer is a "lemon", HP, or the store that sold it, is required to give you some support.

Hi@Bianca211, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support community. I came across your post and would like to assist.

I understand that you have a hp envy 15b series laptop. I read that after usage there is a dead pixel on the screen and would like to know if the HP warranty would cover it.

All HP and Compaq notebook LCDs adhere to strict quality and reliability specifications. A small percentage of LCD panels may have minor cosmetic manufacturing anomalies or irregularities such as bright or dark dots in the viewable area. These cosmetic imperfections are common to all LCD panel types and are not specific to any HP model or product line. For more information please refer to this HP article.

However, I recommend you to contact our HP phone support team to check the available service options for this case.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Most manufacturers of those screens have standards that give a maximum number of "dead" pixels that you should see.  Call it "quality-control". Since you have a "new" computer, exercise the HP Warranty to get it repaired/replaced.  Where did you buy it? Does that store have its own return/exchange policy, e.g., "seven days & no questions asked" ?
